A: After you place an order with Joinery by Bears, we follow a carefully structured process to ensure your product arrives safely and in top condition:

  1. Order Preparation: Once your order is confirmed, we require 1-2 business days to get the stock ready. This includes pre-drilling tap holes (if requested) and conducting a comprehensive quality check to ensure that the product meets our stringent standards.

  2. Dispatch: After preparation, your order is dispatched. We partner with a reliable shipping company to fulfill all deliveries. This ensures that your product is handled with care from our warehouse to your doorstep.

  3. Secure Packaging: To provide maximum protection during transit, our cabinetry is securely delivered on a pallet. This extra measure helps prevent damage and ensures that your product arrives in pristine condition.

  4. Tracking Your Order: Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number so you can monitor the delivery status. Our shipping partner provides regular updates to keep you informed throughout the process.

  5. Delivery Timeframe: The delivery time varies depending on your location. Typically, you can expect to receive your order within a specified timeframe provided by our shipping partner once the product has been dispatched.

A: Calculating the shipping cost is simple! Just follow these steps:

  1. Add the desired product(s) to your cart.
  2. In the cart, enter your postcode under the ‘Order Summery’ field.
  3. Click the “Update” button.

 

Our system will automatically calculate and display the shipping cost based on your location and the items in your cart.

Return, Refunds, Exchange & Change of Mind

We hope you are delighted with your purchase. If you wish to return an item or have any inquiries, please feel free to contact us at hello@joinerybybears.com.

Please note the following policies:

  • Change of Mind: No refunds or exchanges will be offered for change of mind or errors in ordering Goods.
  • Returns, Exchanges, or Cancellations: Please consult with our team to ensure proper transit procedures are followed for any returns, exchanges, or cancellations.

Exchanges

Exchange requests may not be accepted unless under special circumstances. Please consult our team to determine if your item is eligible for exchange.

  • Restocking Fee: An exchange incurs a restocking fee of $80-$150.

  • Freight Charges: For exchanges, customers are responsible for two freight charges:

    1. Return Freight to Warehouse: The cost of shipping the product back to our Crestmead 4132 warehouse.
    2. Freight for New Product Delivery: The cost of delivering the replacement product to the customer’s address or nearest depot.

Freight charges may vary depending on delivery location, and these costs are the responsibility of the customer. Joinery by Bears does not reimburse freight charges.

  • Packaging Requirements: Items must be returned in their original packaging to ensure safe transit. If the original packaging is unavailable, repackaging costs will be charged to the customer.

  • Transit Damage: If items are returned without suitable packaging and are damaged in transit, they may not qualify for exchange.


Refunds

Refund requests may not be accepted unless under special circumstances. Please consult our team to determine if your item qualifies for a refund.

  • Orders Already Dispatched:

    • Non-Refundable Freight Costs: Freight charges from the original order cannot be refunded once the vanity has been dispatched from our Crestmead 4132 warehouse.
    • Return Freight: Customers are responsible for the cost of returning the vanity to our Crestmead 4132 warehouse.
  • Packaging Requirements: All returns must be in their original packaging to ensure safe return. If original packaging is unavailable, repackaging costs will be covered by the customer.

  • Transit Damage: Damaged items resulting from inadequate return packaging may not be eligible for a refund.

 

Joinery by Bears Warranty

At Joinery by Bears, all products undergo rigorous quality control inspections. If you encounter any issues with your purchase, please notify us promptly so we can address the problem.

A: At Joinery by Bears, we are committed to providing high-quality products backed by comprehensive warranties:

  • Cabinets: 5-year warranty
  • Engineered Stone Benchtops and Basins: 2-year warranty
  • Mirrors: 12-month warranty

Our products are designed and manufactured to meet strict quality standards. In the unlikely event that you encounter any faults, please report them within 48 hours of receiving your item, even if it is going into storage.

A: If you notice any faults or damage, please contact us immediately at hello@joinerybybears.com. Provide images of the damage, your order number, and any supporting details. This will allow us to address the issue promptly.

Defects must be reported within 48 hours of receiving the goods. Failure to report within this timeframe may void any insurance for your goods, and a resolution may not be provided.

A: Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and other issues as outlined under Australian Consumer Law. However, the warranty does not apply to:

  • Discontinued items
  • Floor stock, showroom clearance stock, website clearance, and any final sale stock.
  • Accidental damages that occur on-site or during installation
  • Customized items (warranty applies only for manufacturing defects)

A: To ensure your warranty remains valid, all vanities must be installed by a licensed tradesperson in compliance with Australian standards and BSA regulations. Additionally:

  • Isolation valves must be installed with all tapware.
  • Water pressure and temperature must not exceed Australian standards or BSA regulations.

Please note that while our cabinetry is water-resistant, it is not waterproof, and water damage may not be covered under the warranty.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced within a reasonable time.

  • The product is not installed by a licensed tradesperson in compliance with Australian standards and BSA regulations.
  • Isolation valves are not installed with all tapware, or if water pressure/temperature exceeds Australian standards or BSA regulations.
  • Accidental damages occur on-site or during installation.
  • Water damage occurs (cabinetry is water-resistant, not waterproof).

EXCLUSIONS – WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

  • Discontinued items after dispatch.
  • Floor stock, showroom clearance stock, website clearance stock, or any final sale stock after dispatch.
  • Custom items: These cannot be changed, canceled, returned, or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing defect.
  • Normal wear and tear or incorrect installation of products.
  • Products that have not been installed by a licensed tradesperson.
  • Damage caused by abnormal use or misuse of the product.
  • Damage resulting from the use of incorrect cleaning products.
  • Water damage, chemical damage, or heat damage.
  • Damage that occurs during or after installation, or if the incorrect unit has been installed.
  • Door and drawer adjustments after installation.
  • Minor variations in dimensions, color, or finish that are deemed insignificant.

WARRANTY CLAIM

If a warranty claim is valid, Joinery by Bears will:

  • Repair the faulty part.
  • Provide a replacement if the part cannot be repaired.

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

To make a claim, email hello@joinerybybears.com with the following:

  • Lodge the claim within 48 hours of becoming aware of the issue.
  • Provide proof of purchase.
  • Submit detailed information along with photos of the issue.
