VANITY CABINET
PRODUCT:
Vanity Cabinets
FINISHES:
- 2Pac Painted Colours, Natural Veneer Finish, Solid Timber & Plywood.
DESCRIPTION:
- 2Pac – Also known as two-pack paint, this is a premium finish commonly used in the cabinetry industry. It involves a two-component system where a hardener (catalyst) is mixed with a resin (paint) before application. This combination chemically cures to form a highly durable, smooth, and aesthetically refined surface. 2Pac finishes provide superior resistance to moisture, stains, and general wear, making them ideal for bathroom environments. However, they should still be maintained properly to ensure longevity.
- Natural Wood Finish – A thin layer of natural wood veneer is bonded to the surface of cabinetry, preserving the authentic grain, warmth, and texture of timber. The natural veneer enhances the elegance of the vanity while offering structural stability and durability. Since it is a natural material, variations in grain, colour, and texture are expected, making each piece unique. Proper care and maintenance are required to retain the beauty of the wood finish over time.
- Structural Materials – Our vanities are constructed using a combination of solid timber, plywood, and MDF to achieve an optimal balance between strength, stability, and moisture resistance. Solid timber components provide durability and natural character, while plywood and MDF are used strategically to enhance stability and prevent warping in humid environments.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
General Cleaning:
- Wipe down surfaces regularly with a soft, damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and light dirt.
- Use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner diluted with water for deeper cleaning—avoid excessive moisture.
Dry the surface immediately with a clean, dry towel after cleaning.
2Pac Painted Surfaces:
Clean with a damp, lint-free cloth to prevent streaking or residue buildup.
Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh chemicals, or solvent-based cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia), as they can damage the finish.
For persistent marks, use a small amount of diluted dish soap and wipe gently.
Natural Wood Finishes:
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent buildup.
Use a wood-safe cleaner for periodic maintenance to nourish the surface and maintain its rich texture.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading or discolouration.
Apply a light wood polish occasionally to enhance the natural grain and protect the surface.
Moisture & Spill Management:
Wipe up spills immediately to prevent water damage or staining.
Avoid excessive moisture exposure—do not leave standing water or allow steam to condense on the surface.
Keep ventilation in your bathroom adequate to reduce humidity and prevent swelling or warping.
Proper cleaning and care will ensure your vanity remains functional, elegant, and long-lasting for years to come.

CAUTION:
Avoid Harsh Chemicals and Abrasive Cleaners
Do not use bleach, ammonia, or solvent-based cleaners, as they can damage the finish.
Avoid scouring pads, abrasive sponges, or rough cloths, which can scratch the surface.
Moisture Protection
Do not allow water, steam, or liquids to pool on the surface for extended periods.
Always wipe up spills immediately to prevent warping, staining, or swelling.
Ensure your bathroom has proper ventilation to minimise excess humidity.
Heat Protection
Never place hot items, hair tools, or heated appliances directly on the vanity surface.
Use heat-resistant pads or trivets to prevent heat damage to the finish.
Use the Right Cleaning Products
Stick to mild, non-abrasive cleaners suitable for painted and natural wood finishes.
Test any new cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
By following these precautions, you’ll help maintain the integrity and beauty of your vanity for years to come.
Natural Stone Top
Our natural stone tops are more than just surfaces; they are masterpieces of nature. Each stone top is cut from solid stone slabs, showcasing the inherent beauty and uniqueness of natural stone. The intricate veining and rich, varied colors are a testament to the geological processes that have formed these stunning materials over millions of years.
PRODUCT:
Vanity stone top, Coffee table, side table, entryway table, any natural stone associated product.
DESCRIPTION:
Joinery by Bears uses natural stone, meaning each benchtop is unique in colour, veining, and texture. Variations in tone and subtle natural fissures are expected and are not considered defects.
Carrara marble is a porous stone, which means it can absorb liquids and is susceptible to staining, etching, and wear if not properly maintained.
Exposure to moisture, acidic substances, or harsh chemicals can dull the finish and affect the longevity of the stone. Routine cleaning and sealing are essential to protect it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
- Wipe spills immediately – Marble is porous and can absorb liquids quickly, leading to staining.
- Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner or a mild soap diluted in water to clean the surface. Avoid general household cleaners, as they may contain acids or harsh chemicals.
- Dry the surface after use – Standing water, especially around the basin area, can lead to mineral buildup and surface dulling. Always wipe down excess moisture.
- Regular sealing – We recommend sealing Carrara marble every 6 to 12 months to enhance its resistance to stains and moisture. Consult a stone care professional for the best sealant.
CAUTION:
Avoid Harsh Cleaners:
No bleach, ammonia, vinegar, citrus-based, or acidic cleaners – These can cause etching and discoloration.
No abrasive pads or scouring sponges – Always use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge to clean.
Prevent Stains and Etching:
Avoid direct contact with cosmetics, toothpaste, hair dye, and acidic substances (e.g., wine, coffee, lemon juice, vinegar).
If a spill occurs, blot (do not rub) immediately to prevent absorption into the stone.
Heat and Impact Protection:
Do not place hot items directly on the marble surface – Always use a heat-resistant pad or trivet.
Avoid dropping heavy objects on the benchtop, as natural stone can chip under force.
By following these guidelines, your Carrara marble vanity top will maintain its beauty and functionality for years to come.
